Today’s Scripture: “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” – Colossians 3:13

Welcome to Day 7 of our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. Today’s focus is on Restoring Relationships. In Colossians 3:13, we are reminded of the power of forgiveness and the importance of living in harmony with one another. Relationships are central to God’s heart and plan for humanity, but they can often become strained or broken due to misunderstandings, hurt, or sin.

As followers of Christ, we are called to foster peace, forgiveness, and reconciliation in our relationships; this not only honours God but also opens the door to healing, unity, and strength in our communities and personal lives.

Today’s Prayer Focus:

• Pray for the humility and courage to seek forgiveness from those you may have wronged or hurt.
• Ask God to help you forgive those who have wronged or hurt you, releasing any bitterness or resentment.
• Pray for healing in broken or strained relationships, whether in family, friendships, or church community.
• Ask God to reveal any unresolved conflicts in your life and provide the wisdom and strength to address them.
• Pray for a heart that seeks peace and pursues it, reflecting the reconciling love of Christ.
• Ask for the ability to see others through God’s eyes, especially those with whom you have difficulties.
• Pray for divine intervention in relationships that seem beyond repair, trusting that nothing is impossible with God.
• Ask God to strengthen the bonds of love and unity in your family, church, and community.
• Pray for the restoration of marriages and familial relationships that are facing challenges.
• Ask God to guide and protect relationships from misunderstandings, temptations, and external pressures.

Word of Encouragement: Let us remember that restoration and reconciliation are close to God’s heart. He has reconciled us to Himself through Christ and calls us to be agents of reconciliation in our world. May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be evident in all your relationships. As you extend forgiveness and seek reconciliation, may you experience the healing and wholeness that come from walking in obedience to God’s Word.

Let us pray:

Gracious God, on this seventh day of our prayer and fasting, we come before You with a desire to see relationships healed and restored. Grant us the grace to forgive as You have forgiven us and the strength to seek reconciliation where there is division. Heal our hearts and mend the breaches in our relationships. We ask for Your wisdom and love to prevail in all our interactions. May our relationships reflect Your love and grace to the world. Help us to be peacemakers and bridge builders in Your name. We thank You for Your promise to be with us in the process of restoration. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
