Genesis 22:1–18

Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”
God, why did that so-and-so take that position from me? Why did You let that happen?”
Have you ever said something like that? Do not get sad or angry when people take everything away from you. Get glad! Say, “It looks like God is about to show me another side of His glory. I am about to discover why He calls Himself ‘Jehovah-Jireh,’ or ‘the Lord Will Provide.’”
Above all, do not pray against people who misuse or abuse you. Do not rebuke the situation; just hang on to see what the end will be. Your prayer should be, “I want to see another side of God.” He loves to surprise us with His glory, power, and beauty. Whatever trap you think you are in right now, rejoice! It is just another opportunity to see God come through for you.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, this situation is getting me down, but now I see it should lift me up. I rejoice because I know that You are about to show me another side of Yourself. I refuse to worry about it any longer. Show Yourself strong, Lord!
