TODAY’S VERSE
Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. John 14:1 (NLT)
Whose voice do you listen to? Who do you turn to for advice when you’re in a difficult situation? Feel the world collapsing, or are you wracked with guilt or sorrow? Could it be that you’re listening to your fears and doubts? Perhaps childhood recordings accuse or scold you. Satanic powers may have persuaded you to give up in despair or succumb to the temptation to flee from everything. The good news is that another voice exists. It is God who speaks. Through Jesus, God speaks directly to you and says, “Let not your hearts be burdened. “Have faith in God and myself” If I were the only one telling you this, you would have cause for pause. However, this is the actual word of the Lord, and He is reliable. Today, when you feel out of sorts, when it appears that all is lost, and when you believe it is futile to strive, listen to Jesus. Hear Him say, “Do not be concerned; put your trust in God!”
TODAY’S PRAYER
I want to express my gratitude to you, dear Father, for caring about me. I am grateful that I can talk to you about any of my concerns. I want to thank You for making it possible for me to stop worrying and put my trust in you. Please lend me your assistance and reassurance, and I pray in Jesus’ name.
