CONTEMPLATE GOD

THE VERSE FOR TODAY
I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works.
Psalms 145:5 (NKJV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Our ideas move at breakneck speed. Concentration has become something of a lost art for many of us. However, a genuine spirituality necessitates the need to spend time in contemplation. As we think on all that is good about God, we feel a closer connection to Him. Why? Because knowing God and comprehending the depths of His love, mercy, and grace are not achieved by fleeting glimpses. According to the Scriptures, God’s own heart was said to have been in David. That meant that David spent a significant amount of time in God’s presence, contemplating everything that He is. In the same chapter, David’s words, “The LORD is merciful and compassionate, slow to anger and filled with unfailing love.” How wonderful it would be to be like David and recognize that God is kind and loving in the depths of our souls. Our assignment is to ponder on these facts until their actual significance has a significant impact on us. Don’t only read about God today; take time to contemplate His majestic, marvelous majesty.

THE PRAYER FOR TODAY
Dear Father, I am grateful for everything that You are. Allow me to get to know You better today in a deep, personal, and intimate way. In the name of Jesus
AMEN
