THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
It is possible to be so close to someone while also far away from them! The Tabernacle of God accompanied the Children of Israel throughout their trek through the wilderness. These tablets had been inscribed with the Ten Commandments by God Himself, and they were theirs to keep and keep them safe. Even though they were physically close to God, their hearts were far from Him. Do we believe that things have gotten any better? The scriptures, beautiful churches, thousands of Christian periodicals, and an endless supply of Biblical lecturers on television and radio are all available to us, but how close are we to God in our understanding of who He is? The number of spiritual tools we possess has nothing to do with our ability to be close to God. It has absolutely nothing to do with His closeness. He’s as close as our next exhalation. The question is, how far have we progressed in our pursuit of God? Which specific point of emphasis do we want to emphasize? What is it that we are keeping our eyes on? If you are feeling disconnected from God, who has moved today? By getting up and awakening your heart, you can draw closer to Him. Make direct contact with Him, adore Him, and worship Him. He is present. Are you ready?
THE PRAYER FOR TODAY
Dear Father, I’ve come to You today to become closer to You. I implore you to come closer to me. Invade my heart and mind. Please communicate with my inner essence. To get to know You better, fill me with Your presence in the name of Jesus.
