The phrase ‘testing of your faith’ bears a picture of a precious metal which is heated to melting point so that all the impurities rise to the top and can be scrapped away. The finished produce is pure, complete and of a better value. Can trials and difficulties achieve completeness, strength and character in us?
“For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” James 1:3-4
