Message
Impatience is a common struggle for many of us, as we live in a fast-paced world that demands immediate results. However, impatience can lead to anxiety, frustration, and even anger, and it can hinder our spiritual growth and relationship with God. Waiting on the Lord requires strength and courage, as it goes against our natural inclination to control things. However, when we wait on the Lord, we demonstrate faith in His goodness and sovereignty over our lives.
The Bible reminds us to “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord” (Psalm 27:14). This verse encourages us to wait on the Lord with patience and trust, knowing that He has a plan and a purpose for our lives. The fruit of the Spirit, including self-control, enables us to exercise patience and wait on God’s perfect timing. Galatians 5:22-23 states that “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”
Let us explore how we can break the chains of impatience with the help of God’s Word. Through prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit, we can overcome impatience and experience the peace and joy that come from waiting on the Lord. May we trust in His goodness and sovereignty over our lives, and may we exercise patience and self-control as we wait for His perfect timing?

Help me to trust in your goodness and sovereignty over my life, even when things seem uncertain or delayed. Give me the grace to forgive and exercise patience in my relationships with others.
